My first publication! This was a fair chunk of my Masters research - Thanks for the kind words Polyzos Lab!

Enormous congratulations to our #unimelbscicomm alumnus Alex Rafaniello who has just been named the Science at Melbourne 2019 Highest-achieving Graduate Student. We’re so proud of you! science.unimelb.edu.au/home/students/… Aleks Owczarek @unimelb

If you're thinking about Science Communication, here are some good reasons to give it a shot UniMelb SciComm Science at Melbourne Thanks A/Prof Jen Martin @scidocmartin.bsky.social for sharing my #scicomm story - check out the rest of the blog while you're at it! blogs.unimelb.edu.au/science-commun…

Check out our latest publication 👇 describing a carbonyl fluoromethylative amination strategy to alpha-fluoromethyl amines using visible light 💡- #medchem-relevant products 💊 and simple conditions! Congrats to Patrick Deneny and Roopender Kumar 🎉 pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…

A funded PhD position is available for those interested in organometallic, organic synthesis, radical chemistry and catalysis The Kumar Lab UCL Chemistry RTs greatly appreciated. PhD opportunity on FindAPhD: findaphd.com/phds/projectde…

If you're in Cambridge this weekend, head on down to St John's College, Cambridge for an evening of beautiful music! A collab between @StJohnsVoices and CamUniChamberChoir

Had a ball organising the department's first event of its kind with two absolute legends Georgia Harris & Sam Daly. Looking forward to seeing this community grow bigger and better!

Congrats to Georgia Harris (with a helping hand from Trowbridge Group) for publication of her work on photocatalytic asymmetric alpha-tertiary amine synthesis in J Org Chem/Org Lett! 😻🎉 A really neat method for stereocontrol at a-amino radicals. Check it out! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Founding the Queer in Chemistry Network Cambridge Chemistry is one of my proudest moments. For LGBTQ+ history month we’ve decorated department with inspirational queer scientists & organisations. In October we held the department’s first LGBTQ+ event. Things are quickly changing 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈

Heterobenzylic amines made easy – a distinct variant of our multicomponent CAA methodology mediated by indium - preprint now available on ChemRxiv! 🎉 Congrats Alex (Alex Rafaniello) and Roopender (The Kumar Lab)! Check it out 👇 chemrxiv.org/engage/chemrxi…
