Out with our gully emptying crews today. Amazing to know we actually have 20,000 more than thought under the Tories. Up to 110,000 now!

Tories are being utterly ridiculous in full council budget today. No budget of their own just 11 amendments funnelling maintenance funding into their own areas. It's clearly just for leaflets though, In total, if we passed them all, it would be £36m out of a total of £8.1m

So let me get this right, now a transgendered man, even one who has undergone surgery and has a penis, will be forced to use a woman's loo and be treated on a woman's ward in hospital? This is madness.

Great to have our first Cambridgeshire county council Lin Dem group meeting today. Really pleased to say I’ve been elected to stay on chairing highways with Robin as my vice chair. Only problem with so many of us is that it’s difficult to get a good group photo!

Really happy to be back at New Shire hall today and privileged to say I’ll be chairing the highways and transport committee again. Possibly its last ever chair!

There is no doubt that some of our children in care are very troubled, many are traumatised by childhood events and need a great deal of loving, compassionate support. Sadly it appears some Reform LTD cllrs are incapable of this basic human compassion. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Honest question here- Why do we not allow Asylum seekers to work, holding the money in bond pending the outcome of their case? If their case fails the state keeps the cash, if they are allowed to remain they have a little nest egg to get started as productive members of society?

Great day today at #Move2025. Really interesting panel on inclusivity in Autonomous Vehicles and some great conversations on how we can use data to improve Cambridgeshire highways!

Super proud of my wife, Holly, making the best seller list! It's been quite a journey but that just makes it all the more special right?

It’s outrageous that the Mayor is still suggesting he can find the cash to subsidise free car parking and yet there’s no cash for tiger pass. Icing on the cake is that he hasn’t even done any analysis of the effects. cambridge-news.co.uk/news/local-new…

We need to save the Tiger pass and stop Paul Bristow's plans to hollow it out. It's essential to so many young people in our county both in work and education. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
