This weekend Alex Down thought she’d give ice swimming a proper go with multiple events and she smashed it 2 🥇(100, 200 free) 2🥈(50 fly and 4x50 relay) and 2 U18 GB records beaten, scouted by GB (Europeans 2026 next) So proud 😍🤩. This is quite a terrifyingly brutal sport!

It’s been another busy week/weekend for Alex Down. Finishing up Newham&UEL National Qualifier meet - some fast LC swims and PB. Topped off with🥉in the Open age group for 200 back - impressive to medal at a national qualifier! #thisgirlcanswim

The short version: Alex Down is taking on the English Channel again 😮🏊‍♀️🥶 This summer. Not solo (yet!), but as part of another COSMIC relay team. She’s still wary of jellyfish, still driven, and still as determined as ever to make a difference.
