✨Announcing Reflect✨ – high-performance sync for the multiplayer web: reflect.net This is the next step for Replicache and something we’ve been working on and dreaming of for some time. Details and the story of how this came to be below ⬇️

I'm excited to share what we've been working on. Early customers have already built some amazing experiences. Can't wait to see what others build with Reflect.

✨ Announcing Reflect ✨ – A new way to build multiplayer apps like Figma or Notion. Rather than CRDTs, Reflect syncs the way video games do. Today, Reflect is available to everyone. Learn more: What the Multiplayer Web can Learn from Video Games ⏩ rocicorp.dev/blog/ready-pla…

Last month we launched Reflect and explained how our game-inspired sync is more flexible than CRDTs. Not only that, Reflect is fun and easy to use too! See for yourself – here's a step-by-step, detailed walkthrough of your first Reflect app: youtu.be/VjxIi-Kfd7A

Who says you can't do multiplayer music?? Here's a demo of a collaborative loop editor built with Reflect. Invite someone creative and share your best beats. We'll do something fun with the top submissions live on stage at React Miami 🤫. loop.reflect.net

Are you a JS developer who: - has opinions about documentation - has *not* tried Reflect I'll pay you $50 (or $100 to the charity of your choice) to record a screencast of yourself walking through the hello.reflect.net/start/add page. Open to first 5 responses – thanks!

The market *is* efficient, and if Rocicorp has demonstrated anything it is that you can reliably get good people with a simple recipe: * Work on interesting problems * Be a nice place to work * Compensate fairly

Have not looked at the code but this is a very nice demo and walkthrough of a Trellix clone with Replicache by vimtor ! Thank you for contributing this. The discussion of the benefits is very well done! The only thing I would add is showing realtime sync in two tabs

Great talk by Aaron Boodman of Rocicorp where he introduced Zero, their new hybrid query sync engine that searches the local cache first before falling back to the server for non-local data.

Sync engines enable instantly responsive UI. But the tradeoff is usually slow startup because all data must be pre-loaded. Zero's query-driven sync enables precise control over when data syncs. To demonstrate, we scaled our "zbugs" demo up to 2.5M rows. Introducing Gigabugs:
