I don’t understand people who keep the window shade down on a plane. We’re 35 thousand feet in the sky. You don’t want to check out the view? We’re above the freaking clouds, for God’s sake. Humans could only dream of a view like this for millennia. And you have the shade down.

We almost got hit by this on US 82. Missed us by about 200 yards. Didn’t seem to do any significant damage other than possibly to trees. We blasted east to get ahead of it, and didn’t assess damage. We got a 360° camera view that we will upload later! #TXwx NWS Fort Worth

Wow, what a stressful week of work. Time to relax by holding a phone beaming endless streams of horrific international news inches from my head

All I'll say is this. The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for Kerr County more than 12 hours ahead of the catastrophic flood. A flash flood warning was issued for Hunt & Ingram 3 HOURS before the Guadalupe started to climb. They did their job and they did it well
