This summer, Phyllis Novak's team of students and volunteers from the #YorkU community have been working hard to transform the #YorkUEUC Maloca Community Garden. From growing their own food to holding special outdoor events, this space great setting for sustainable teaching 🌿.

Our thoughts are with all those affected by the violence at University of Waterloo yesterday, including students, faculty, staff, #YorkU colleagues and community members with ties to the area. Violence and discrimination of all forms have no place in our society. (1/2)

Our friend & colleague, U of Arizona feminist geographer Janice Monk, passed away peacefully in Tucson on Friday, July 12th 2024 age 87. Jan was a brilliant scholar & generous mentor, devoting herself to research on gender & support for women & the minoritized in geography. RIP.
