NEW: GDP figures see dramatic drop to -0.1% in March. This adds to the worries families already face from the cost of living crisis. If the PM and Cabinet come back from their Away Day in Staffordshire today with anything less than an Emergency Budget, they will have failed.

Remarkable justification that because farmers are loudly protesting the devastating impact of this ill-conceived policy, we must ergo have hidden 💰 to protect. A government could justify any action on those grounds. That’s actually quite chilling.

In Parliament, Alicia Kearns MP asked whether the UK police are giving adequate advice to Hong Kong activists speaking out against the CCP. Clear, consistent guidance is essential to protect the rights and safety of those opposing authoritarianism and targeted by TNR.

To add insult to injury, Labour MPs voted to stop fans having a drink while they enjoy it in free corporate boxes. Labour also voted to protect their donor and crony Chairman, who will be paid ÂŁ130,000 for working 3 days per week! One rule for them. Another for the public.

It’s great news Casterton College Rutland has reached the next milestone in their rebuild! Survey work is due to be undertaken during the Summer holidays, with a view to building work starting during the next academic year. I was delighted that together in 2023 we secured this

There are no words that can diminish Helen and Peter’s pain. I can only offer my deepest condolences, and my relief they finally have the answers they deserved and were denied for too long. I will again tomorrow write to Government and call on them to act urgently to make sure

Why is Rutland County Council, having told the Government we want our Council scrapped after 2028, now hiring for NEW roles that have never existed before? Including: - A Communications Officer to *only* work on transport communications for up to ÂŁ32k? - An Equality,

I’ve written to the Prime Minister urging him to take action to better protect children living with allergies. The inquest following the death of Benedict Blythe has now concluded. I’m asking him to work with me and use the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill to save lives.

So if Rachel Reeves thought a 0.1% contraction of the economy was grounds for an emergency budget for a Tory Chancellor, presumably we can expect her to bring one to the House on Monday?

Thirty years on from the genocide, today more men murdered at Srebrenica were buried. Shamefully, their families face the re-writing of history and glorification of those responsible for these crimes. Denial is a continuation of the crimes themselves – what begins with violence

When I was working in Parliament, MPs used to get an unrequested copy of China Daily sent to their office every day. It then became an 'opt in' only service. Per this response to Alicia Kearns MP, it seems not a single British politician has decided to opt in.
