The gerrymander in Texas is outrageous. Of the 38 congressional districts, 8 of them are Democratic. That means 21% of their delegation are Democrats when Democrats regularly win 44-48% of the vote in this state.

i don't think people get how deeply weird these threats are. paxton says dems who leave TX to stop the redistricting map "should be found and arrested no matter where they go" & cornyn supports "all methods of returning" them. they need to clarify what they mean & how it's legal.

Ironically enough, our best chance to end gerrymandering nationwide is for blue states to gerrymander to such an extreme degree the GOP cries Uncle and begs for the federal ban Dems tried to pass in 2021.
