I find it very upsetting to hear of the passing of Steve Wright. Such a shock. He was so good at what he did. Really good. Listening to the "big show" was pivotal in my life, and I don't think I would have beed drawn in to the world if radio without him. :-(

Here is a memory from my radio days. It was 15 years ago today that the last IRN Radio News bulletin came from ITN at 11am, and moved to Sky News for the midday. I remember being up a ladder realigning the satellite dish in a bit of a hurry.

This is deflating news. Radio 4's The Now Show is coming to an end after the spring series. Such a shame. It will be missed. Hopefully there will be an equally good thing on the horizon to replace it.

I have some not great news that became official yesterday. FabLab Sunderland will be closing at the end of the month. It has been a challenging but rewarding time running the project and I am sad to see it go. The big question is, what should I do next?
