A really eye-catching demonstration from Mouaz Al-Mallah, M.D MSc of how much more obvious splenic switch-off is with vasodilator stress when using Flurpiridaz. This is due to the much greater extraction compared with rubidium-82. Stress top, rest bottom. ASNC Society #cardiacPET #CVnuc

#EHJCVI 🧱 What’s the interplay between CAC, MFR and cardiovascular events? CAC density is inversely associated with outcomes, while CAC volume is positively associated 📈 Were these significant after adjusting for MFR and other factors? Read more 👉 doi.org/10.1093/ehjci/…

Rheumatic heart disease is still the most common etiology of VHD in LMICs. Often patients are much younger & have multiple valves involved. In 2022 we started MDT Valve clinic & registry & have learnt so much. Come learn about our experience at #3rdPHVCIS2025 World Heart Federation

Patients with a normal-ish EF could be further stratified as being at a *truly* low-risk of events or at intermediate risk depending on their rest flow. In contrast, patients with a depressed EF had a uniformly high rate of events regardless.

🔥New data: In 2022, only 14.2% of cardiac imagers were women—up from 10.5% in 2013. 📉 Representation remains low in: •PET: 10.5% •SPECT: 12.6% •Interventional echo: 6.5% 🧠 More women are entering imaging—but gender gaps persist, especially in multimodality & leadership
