I think some folks celebrating the American Academy of Neurology recently may have forgotten about its 2018 letter to the U.S. FDA. For transparency I'll remind pALS how the #AAN formally views intrathecal therapies for #ALS. Bizarre, since the most effective drugs are intrathecal. Read carefully!

When choosing a trial #ALS patients should consider the past and the potential any drug has to halt their disease. You are not obligated to be a guinea pig for "supplement science" or sugar water. Why risk placebo otherwise? Note: non-patients or those with grudges may not agree.
