Shes back … Shes crippled with anxiety … She no longer knows who she is anymore outside of being a mum … The mum guilt is through the roof. And has major workplace imposture syndrome… But shes back! Maternity leave … completed it!

My favourite thing is always watching nurses grow their potential & become excellent leaders … Yesterday Sr Waseema completed our monthly audits & commended our team AMAT huddles. Working together to action plan = shared ownership & improved engagement = better results.

My Poppy is probably one of the most ‘streetwise’ & emotionally intelligent 7 year olds you could meet. She’s severely dyslexic. Until dyslexia entered our family, I was ignorant to how it could impact a person. But I’ll always be grateful for such an early diagnosis.

I’m probably the worst person to receive compliments … I’m extremely socially awkward. I can easily tell you how amazing my team are but I often undersell myself & i’m own biggest critic So I’m always grateful when others recognise me, and remind me I’m doing a bloody good job.

Love receiving emails like this … Always nice to get a reminder that despite the pressure the NHS is under, we’re still going above & beyond for our patients - and building a positive culture on the ward. Acute Stroke Unit @lthtr Chris winster
