I think it’s also important to remove the traditional ‘roles’ which dictate teachers as ‘lead’ vs. ‘supportive.’ In a true, effective co-teaching class you should not be able to distinguish between the two as the responsibilities are equally shared. #bhmschat

I think the best way to accomplish both goals is by truly knowing the needs of the individual students you are working with and tailoring lessons appropriately. What strategies may work best in one ICR class may be totally ineffective in another. #bhmschat

Also I believe it’s so important to remember that strategies utilized in those classes to support students with special needs can and should also be used to help all students be most successful!!! #bhmschat
