Get Ready for the 52nd Annual AAS Conference! The American Auditory Society’s 52nd Annual Scientific and Technical Conference is just around the corner! This event takes place at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona from February 13-15, 2025.

Dr. Ross Maddox will be presenting this year’s first Translational Research lecture, titled “Fast and Accurate Diagnosis Using the Parallel Auditory Brainstem Response.”

Dr. Pamela Souza will present the 2025 Killion Lecture, titled “Understanding Individual Variability Among Older Adults with Hearing Loss.” She will review the effects of hearing loss, age, and cognitive ability on communication and how hearing aids can be optimized for listening

Dr. Guthrie will present a special session titled “Gene Therapy: When Desires Precede the Evidence” and reveal the biologic foundations of gene therapy by contrasting current therapeutic desires against current biologic evidence.

The 2025 Carhart Memorial Lecture will be given by Dr. Kathy Pichora-Fuller, PhD, FCAHS, on Thursday, February 13th. Her presentation, Hearing Health and Aging Well, will begin and conclude with the importance of hearing for healthy aging from the perspectives of older adults.
