Just finished writing a python script that compares taxa names in a CSV file to tip names in a phylogeny and prunes based on mismatches. Check it out on my GitHub!

A thread from Martin lab member Christa (no twitter): Our paper on pantry moth Plodia interpunctella was recently released! sciencedirect.com/science/articl… TL;DR We repaired a spontaneous white eye mutation in Lepidoptera with high somatic and germline efficiency using CRISPR Cas9! 🧵

Our paper describing NEAT-seq, a method to simultaneously measure transcription factor protein abundance, ATAC-seq, and RNA-seq in single cells, is now out at Nature Methods! Congrats to Amy and Ben! nature.com/articles/s4159…

1. Our new #EvoDevo and Wnt gene regulation paper is out in Science Magazine. We used #ATACseq and #CRISPR to study the evolution and role of cis-regulatory elements (CREs) of a patterning gene in different species of #butterflies. 🧵🧵🧵Check the cover🔥 science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

Presenting a poster today on the role of Ubx in wing patterning in butterflies at #CellBio2022. Stop by at 12.15 at B285 to learn more. (#cellbio22)

🧵a thread from @lings_ll+Joe Hanly; We are thrilled to share the Martin Lab’s latest on the development of wing pattern in butterflies! Long story short, we present evidence that the wing patterning morphogen WntA is received by the receptor frizzled2. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

1. One detail I’d like to highlight from our preprint on WntA/fz2 signalling in butterflies; it turns out RNAi works well in nymphalid butterflies! This part was led by @LivraghiLuca, Ling Loh and Amruta Tendolkar
