I had a brilliant day at University of Bristol Biological Sciences talking about invasive #guppies from #Trinidad, making new friends, catching up with old ones and hearing about some cool new projects! Thanks for the invite Christos Ioannou! 🐟🐟🐟

Fantastic to see #Trinidad & #Caroni swamp featured on BBC TV! Tomorrow's episode features our very own TTFNC Mammal Group led by Laura Baboolal, who guides Liz and her team through #Nariva in search of monkeys! Look out for a local screening hosted by us in the new year!!

Delighted to have helped in small ways with this series showcasing #Caribbean #Conservation success stories & the people behind them. Definitely worth a watch! #TrinidadandTobago features in episodes 3 & 4. For those in T&T, T&T Field Naturalist are planning a local screening in the new year!

Spot Laura Baboolal Dan Jaggernauth and other members of our Mammal Group below! Plus friend of the club Ricardo from El Socorro Wildlife and Erle from Wasamaki! Watch this space for details of our Trinidad public screening of this episode soon!

We're excited to end the year with the publication of our 2023 issue of Living World, our #peerreviewed #openaccess #naturalhistory journal. Packed full of NEW knowledge about local & regional #biodiversity ttfnc.org/livingworld/in… Cover photo by article author StantonBelford, Ph.D. 🌊🤿🧬🏝

Great to see this published! 66 new species for #Tobago! Amazing what you can discover by simply taking photos of #moths you see near lights & uploading to iNaturalist... Thanks to Matthew Cock for the expert IDs & for collating our observations into a coherent contribution...

Congrats to #TTFNC member RainingRainers, whose incredible photo of a fungi-parasitised jumping spider in #Trinidad has been chosen as iNaturalist's Observation of the Day!

Trinidad & Tobago has surpassed 100,000 verifiable observations on iNaturalist 🤯 that's a great accomplishment for a small, twin island republic. Take a look at the second image which shows the most common species observed and posted to iNaturalist.
