It’s conference day! The SMU-Edinburgh ESGT conference organised by Vincent Ooi and I (with thanks to Vincent for such hard work) has begun 🥳. First panel kicked off by Vasiliki Koukoulioti who is talking about whether tax should be a fourth pillar of ESG.

And after lunch, Vincent Ooi discusses carbon pricing in Singapore, including the uncertainties and future of domestic carbon taxation 😎.

And today was our Early Career Workshop, providing a constructive space for tax and sustainability researchers to develop their ideas. Some fabulous presentations and conversations. Thanks to Vincent Ooi for all your work in making this an enjoyable 2 days.

Really delighted to receive a US-UK Fulbright Scholar Award to visit Villanova Law later this year 🥳. I’ll spend time in the Villanova Federal Tax Clinic to improve tax clinics in the UK and see the great impacts they have on access to justice. With thanks also to Edinburgh Law School.

And it’s back to work after the best month off 🤍. I won’t be winning any wife-of-the-year awards this year, as I pack to begin my Fulbright Scholar award tomorrow! I’ll be spending three months in Philadelphia in the Villanova Federal Tax Clinic.
