We’ve just kicked off our NIHR SafetyNet PhD Networking Event 2025 at Imperial College London! Thrilled to have an amazing team from across the six PSRCs in the room! #patientsafety #PhDstudents #PhDnetworking #nihr

We're excited to share our last publication at JMIR Publications Publications, looking at how the availability and use of virtual consultations in primary care changed across 20 countries - before and during the pandemic. (1/3) Department of Primary Care & Public Health NIHR ARC Northwest London NIHR North West London PSRC lnkd.in/dKTsDaSC

Unsurprisingly, we saw a big jump in use across the board: telephone saw the highest increase in weekly use (+11h/wk), while video consultations experienced the largest increase in availability (+39.5%) (2/3) Imperial School of Public Health @imperial_pcph NIHR ARC Northwest London NIHR North West London PSRC

Also, national differences really mattered. Even for something as seemingly simple as phone consultations, local context shaped availability. While the pandemic helped reduce disparities in telephone consultation access, for video, it widened the gap. (3/3) Department of Primary Care & Public Health

Another EGPRN meeting is in the books! I presented some of the findings of the INSIGHT project, on the availability & use of virtual care across 20 countries - We also reflected on the progress our team has made over the past five years! On a personal note, I am honored to have been elected as Vice-Chair of EGPRN's Executive Board for the upcoming term. I’m looking forward to work with this experienced team of colleagues, strengthening our collective impact on #primarcare research. Department of Primary Care & Public Health @imperial_gdhu

Yesterday, we joined the NIHR ARC Northwest London Collaborative Learning Event in Hammersmith — a opportunity to reflect the evolving dynamics of teams in today’s health and care landscape. Good team function is not a soft skill — it’s a cornerstone of high-quality, sustainable care. (1/4)

Our colleague Elena LE introduced the exciting evaluation we're performing Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, evaluating the benefits of the Care Coordination Solution module of the Federated Data Platform. A promising example of how technology can tackle systemic pressures in the NHS! (3/4)

Finally - great to see a strong attendance of our Digital Health team, paving the way to new examples of cross-collaboration within the National Institute for Health and Care Research infrastructure, working across the NIHR ARC Northwest London and the NIHR ARC Northwest London! This week, I attended the Seventy-eighth World Health Assembly (#WHA78) in Geneva, hosted by World Health Organization (WHO). It’s always inspiring to contribute to these dialogues and reconnect with colleagues from WONCA - including Harris Lygidakis, PILAR ASTIER-PEÑA, Viviana Martinez-Bianchi & Jose Valderas. (1/3)

I joined a panel alongside #WuLiying, #MulukenArgawHalle, Gabriel Leung, Gauden Galea, and Alain Labrique. The conversation highlighted how digital tools can strengthen #primarycare systems and help us move closer to #UHC: a goal that feels more urgent than ever. (2/3)

Seven years after my graduation, time to return to Royal Albert Hall to celebrate our new graduates. Yoko Yoshimura, Aadima Padavi, Thomas Beaney, Kanika I Dharmayat - congratulations on reaching this milestone, looking forward to witnessing your future successes!
