Mad scientist. I keep chopped up bodies in my fridge. If that got a dafuq reaction, congrats, you're in the 0.01% who read it. I don't really have a fridge.

Know the animated 🌈 border + glow effect that's all the rage? It's normally done by adding an opaque cover on top of two 🌈 layers. But what if we wanted a (semi)transparent background within the border? It's possible with pure #CSS! Heavily commented: codepen.io/thebabydino/pe…

Made a new Web Component: RichInput. It's a drop-in replacement for text-based <input> elements that can colourise user input. A "stylepattern" attribute accepts a regex pattern and the resulting capture groups can be styled using CSS `::part(group-n)` keithclark.github.io/richinput/

I turn 13 on CodePen.IO today, so after my most hearted demos... here are 13 of MY personal faves! 1️⃣ Pure CSS music toy - this one's a really special one for me codepen.io/thebabydino/pe… #CSS transforms for the 3D, CSS variables for the dynamic shading.

If a grid has `n` columns, it has `n - 1` gaps in between them. Enjoy this interactive CodePen.IO demo illustrating the concept: codepen.io/thebabydino/pe… #CSS

When bands only have a bandsintown embed that doesn't load on their site. Context: signed up to the newsletter, got notified about the tour, clicked the link to see the dates, but only saw the empty space, so had come here to at least find a tour announcement post with a poster.

Be careful when posting for help on LinkedIn. My Django/Angular post got me flooded with emails and even one call. Not sure how people got my email or number, but that's really not the way to go about things. Very creepy. I'll prioritize the folks who politely replied to my post.
