The research team of DATIS actively participated in the Training School which was organized by EUPolSur Erasmus+ Module at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a poster focused on the DATIS, funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation-HFRI and showcased the International Social Survey Programme ISSP whose data collection is conducted within the DATIS project


In addition to presenting the poster related to DATIS, funded by Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation-HFRI, the team participated with a presentation titled “The History of Election Studies in Greece” by Professor Ioannis Andreadis and Assistant Professor Eftichia Teperoglou from the School of Political Sciences.


We are delighted to announce that our research project on euroscepticism and populism, funded by Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation-HFRI and led by Ioannis Andreadis at Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης (2019-2022), with the support of European Consortium for Political Research and the ECPR_POVB, has transformed into the COST Action EUPopLink.


Six months into the DATIS Project, supported by Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation-HFRI, we celebrate significant progress in exploring political attitudes and societal transformations. Our work on inclusive societies has led to impactful contributions at international conferences.

Professor Ioannis Andreadis represented DATIS at the International Social Survey Programme ISSP General Meeting 2024 (April 27–May 1), in Sydney, presenting the first research results of DATIS, supported by Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation-HFRI, with a study titled: "Survey Data Quality Methods Developed in DATIS".


Ioannis Andreadis International Social Survey Programme ISSP Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation-HFRI The participation in the ISSP general meeting 2024 aimed at strengthening the participation of Greece, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the School of Political Sciences as official member of the International Social Survey Programme ISSP. During the meeting, Greece was elected new member of the ISSP Methodology Committee

The DATIS project, funded by Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation-HFRI, participated at the Team Populism conference held at the Democracy Institute in Budapest, Hungary, on May 29-30, 2024, with a presentation by Professor Ioannis Andreadis.


During the presentation by Ioannis Andreadis, the link between the study of populism and DATIS, funded by Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation-HFRI, was presented, and the new COST Action EUPopLink which will help further dissemination of DATIS and its ancestor (DataPopEU) was announced.


DATIS project, funded by Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation-HFRI, participated with a presentation by Eftichia Teperoglou at EEPE & EKKE event on European Elections 2024, Political and Electoral Analysis, in Athens, on June 14. The presentation discusses the historical patterns of European elections in Greece.


Furthermore, the presentation by Eftichia Teperoglou incorporates insights from the DATIS (funded by Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation-HFRI) 2024 pilot survey on social attitudes towards LGBTQ+ rights in Greece, examining public opinions on topics such as same-sex relationships, adoption rights, and equality.


DATIS project, funded by Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation-HFRI, participated at the WAPOR 77th & WAPOR Asia Pacific 7th Joint Annual Conference 28–31 July 2024, Seoul, with a presentation by Professor Ioannis Andreadis of methods developed in the new DATIS research project that can be used by International Social Survey Programme ISSP.
