Fab visit Ridgeview Wine today, tasting with Simon & Mardi as the harvest comes in. Quality of 2020 pinot noir & chards grapes tasting great too. Should be a memorable year, on a couple of counts! And so good to visit a winery again...

Try your local indie. We all have good examples of sub £10 wines. Cambridge Wine we have more sub £10 wine than all the wines you'll find in Tesco put together, so enough to try and from all over the world.

Quote of day from Ronan Sayburn MS co-hosting excellent Oz v NZ chards tasting with Natasha Hughes MW: ‘I always think great chardonnay looks like frogspawn, big head, thin tail. The attack is big & intense and then they trail off into a very long, fine tail of acidity & minerality.’
