Two things can be true: 1) Many colleges were irresponsible in the extent to which they indulged international student number growth. 2) Over half of all college programs are totally non-viable if you cut 70-80% of international students.

Good insights into some of what makes Japanese urbanism feel so magical. Helps explain to why I feel the best restaurants are always on top levels of buildings, and best desserts and quick serve in basement levels of department stores (Japanese dept stores are way diff than NA)
