It's not the job of a Defence minister to criticise the current state of the UK's armed forces, it's his job to do something about it. Ministers shouldn't bemoan a situation that it's their responsibility to fix!

Today is my final day of service in Royal Air Force - 14th October 1984 to 31 July 2019. That's 12,709 days. When people say "Get some time in!", I can say ... "I did!" Thanks to all I have served with, it's been a privilege.
