A great read!! AusOTinICU
Agree w: below. This is why we specifically have an OT-specific meet-up during our social/networking event at the Hopkins Hopkins ICU Rehab conference (coming very soon: Oct 10-12 2019: hopkinsmedicine.org/pulmonary/rese…) We want to meet all OTs interested in #ICUrehab & help build the network
I am BIG believer in the opportunity for #OT to drive #icurehab and #hospital outcomes. To get there 1) consider #OT as you develop your #icurehab plan 2) invest in training your #OTs 3) advocate for #OT schools to introduce #acutecare in curriculum #everyBODYmoves Johns Hopkins Activity & Mobility Promotion (AMP)
Wonderful article with contributions from insightful experts. The public should know what life after the ICU is like. Do we understand this from inside the ICU? Dale Needham, MD, PhD washingtonpost.com/health/2020/04…
