A partnership between U.S. National Science Foundation, Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Office of Naval Research (ONR) is leading to the refit of the R/V Roger Revell, which will now have the most sophisticated underwater mapping capabilities in the U.S. Academic Research Fleet. Scholars from University of Hawaii at Hilo and University of Hawaii at Manoa are part of a hui (group) of Native Hawaiian researchers that departed from Kāneʻohe Bay on July 31 to begin a 15-day scientific research voyage to the Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument ➡️ bit.ly/3Ceorkx
