There aren’t too many perks when you’re a Principal of a public school ... except some very fancy morning tea prepared by our Year 11 Hospitality students at our Froth on Top Cafe. #oakflatshs #AGreatPlaceToWork Raechel Mccarthy

Just shed a tear watching the Wallabies sing the national anthem in Eora then English. We do the same with Dharawal and English at school. It’s inspired me to learn the words. Speaking the same language is another important step towards Reconciliation. My heart is full! 🖤💛❤️

This remains the most powerful speech I’ve heard from an Australian politician. I’m proud that Oak Flats High School is committed to social justice and Reconciliation. We all need to do better.

Australia keeping Afghans on temporary protection visas is simply monstrous. How small we have become. How shallow are our dog-whistling so-called leaders. We must do and be better as a people. #Afghanistan

60 years of public education was celebrated at Oak Flats HS with a great community festival. Photos were displayed in the hall so former students could take a walk down memory lane. There were lots of performances including a group of 1960s students who sang the school song!
