Did you know? The Notts Dormouse Group are recorded in a wide range of nest types, with materials ranging from green leaves, woven grasses, stripped bark, moss, string, straw & willow down, but more often than not old brown leaves @ptes #DormouseWeek


Well, it's official, the newly reintroduced #dormice @NTCalkeAbbey are breeding. Today's monitoring check recorded a total of 7 #dormice, with independent juveniles as well as a couple of the founder animals. #Dormousetastic #DormouseWeek People's Trust for Endangered Species


A record-breaking monitoring session this weekend at one of our #dormouse woodlands, over 70 #dormice All life-stages were recorded, pinkies, GEC, eyes open, juveniles & adult. An amazing result to mark the 10-year anniversary of the reintroduction Notts Dormouse Group People's Trust for Endangered Species

Dormouse season has officially begun for Notts Dormouse Group 31 torpid #dormice recorded during the first monitoring check of the year


Well, that's a wrap. The April #dormouse monitoring is now complete, & what a busy weekend we've had. An incredible 41 #dormice recorded. The Nottinghamshire #dormouse populations are going from strength to strength. This weekend's monitoring of one of the woodlands recorded a whopping 48 #dormice.
