Check out this video by Ethan Coleman for the Gallery of Fluid Motion! This project was purely curiosity-driven—we did it just for the fun of it. The resulting patterns resemble a kaleidoscope. Our group Laboratory of Interfaces, Flow and Electrokinetics will be at #DFD2024 APS Division of Fluid Dynamics. I will be personally missing DFD after many years, but check out the exciting talks by students and postdocs, including 2 posters and the first experimental result from our group.

Thank you The New Yorker for highlighting the work from Laboratory of Interfaces, Flow and Electrokinetics at CU Boulder Engineering 🦬 . It's incredibly rewarding to see our work recognized beyond academic circles and spark broader discussions. It was wonderful to speak with Rivka. Hope you will enjoy reading the piece below.

Using a model that allows two ions to diffuse at different speeds, researchers show that an impedance response of ionic transport in nanopores for arbitrary Debye lengths is better captured by two Warburg elements in parallel than one Warburg element. šŸ”— go.aps.org/43w9b11

Patterns on a tropical fish might not seem like a chemistry problem, but Ankur Gupta of CU Boulder 🦬 has a knack for seeing—and describing—how the rules of physical chemistry explain the world around us. Read more: cen.acs.org/physical-chemi… #CENT12
