Today marks a year since Ukraine became the target of Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified war of aggression. This immense loss of life, violence and destruction is shocking and draws on a distorted view of history, including Holocaust distortion:

The justification is the false narrative of “denazification.” But as IHRA Chair ann bernes has said, “by equating Ukraine’s democratically elected government with the murderous policy of Nazi Germany, the history of the Holocaust is being grossly distorted and misused.”

90 years ago #OnThisDay, the first SS-managed concentration camp was established outside Dachau, one of the first steps in the Nazi's rise to power. We need to #ProtectTheFacts against distortion and denial of this terrible truth. The Holocaust is not up for debate.

The cemetery & crematorium were the only original parts of Flossenbürg recognised as the camp memorial after the war. It took 50 years for the camp to be included. ⁦IHRA⁩ charter for Holocaust heritage emphasises the importance of safeguarding all such historic traces.
