Career event of Kavli Neuroscience PhD/postdoc organization “Y-Rock”. “How a PhD in neuroscience got into Venture Capital “, by our guest Leonidas Georgiou from Haedan Capitals. Organized by Jo Carpenter and Anna Ostenrath !!!

Anna Maria Ostenrath presenting her research on zebrafish habenula the #Yaksi Group with Emre Yaksi at Kavli Neuroscience

FENS continues with great discussions with wonderful colleagues. Tonight was a dinner with friends of the habenula, @_mameli_ @meletislab Nathalie Jurisch-Yaksi Anna Ostenrath Bjørn Bredesen, PhD Kadir Mutlu Francisca Hinrichsen PercivalDgama

It was great meeting Anna Ostenrath from Kavli Neuroscience and leaning about the habenula and defensive behavior in zebrafish! Check out her poster. (S03-118) #KavliNeuro #KavliInstitute #FENS2022

Our paper by Sverre Myren-Svelstad & Ahmed Jamali, co-supervised by Nathalie Jurisch-Yaksi is now out in Epilepsia . We used photic-stimulation to identify convergent and divergent features of neural activity and behavior in multiple zebrafish seizure models. doi.org/10.1111/epi.17…

Interested in investigating alterations in connectivity & activity of neural ensembles in zebrafish forebrain, upon sensory experience/learning ? Join us as a PhD Student bit.ly/3ShOmzA . We offer top-notch science environment of Kavli Neuroscience & high life-standards of Norway

Anna Ostenrath gave a fantastic talk at the first Kavli Neuroscience department seminars of this semester about her work on the role of metabotropic glutamate receptor driven inhibition in regulating habenular activity and animal behavior. Wait for the preprint ;)

Among all things happening in the world, I have good news to share: we have a Dr. Anna Ostenrath !!! Big congrats Anna for all your wonderful achievements and thanks for your contributions to our lab !!! Finally thank you @meletislab and @PortuguesLab for wonderful discussions.
