1st ACS National Roundtable (1997 with CDC) worked on colorectal cancer. This was followed by ACS National HPV Vaccination Roundtable, ACS National Lung Cancer Roundtable and the ACS National Navigation Roundtable. Excited to be The White House for my first ACS National Roundtable!
Despite having lower smoking rates, 20% of all deaths among #Hispanic men are attributable to #smoking (1997-2019 data, US). The % is even higher among Black (27%) and White (33%) men. Reducing tobacco use can save many lives. Blake Thomson ACS Research dlvr.it/SbdmB2

20% of new colorectal cancer cases in 2019 were in people younger than 55 — nearly double what the rate was in 1995, the American Cancer Society found. Jonathan LaPook, M.D says the reason for the increase isn't certain, but encourages anyone with symptoms or above age 45 to get screened.
