Our new issue is out NOW! Find a vendor to read about the city's housing voucher process, what is funded (and isn't) in the mayor's proposed budget, and a special Spanish language version of our piece on language accessibility in shelters.

Things are getting grim for DC’s homeless services: DHS is saying it doesn’t have enough money to match people to housing vouchers for the rest of the year, according to an email sent to providers yesterday. To be clear: DC has vouchers to house people, but won’t use them.
