Today I learned the staff person helping us clean out a retired colleague’s lab refers to all the synthesized (as opposed to purchased) compounds as “home brews.”

It makes me laugh every year that our Conflict of Interest office is apparently headed up by Yoda.

I had such a terrific day today with @SmithLabUMBC and UMBC Chemistry ! Fantastic science AND fantastic people. Also delicious crab cakes.

So glad Ross Wang Lab had the presence of mind to snap a pic. Loved hearing Frank Davis’ retrospective and grateful that he decided to let the faculty come, even though he wrote the talk for the grad students! Such a fabulous colleague!
