OAR welcome the appointment of Darren Moore as manager at our troubled club. He has a difficult task ahead of him to keep us up. We abhor some of the racist attitudes and tropes that this appointment has brought out from a small minority of Wednesday-ites.

Some questions: 1. Are you and 'pals' Israeli owls? 2. If not, why unfurl the Israeli flag? 3. Why unfurl a specific flag whilst 'taking the knee' occurs? 4. Do you believe that flags convey messages? 5. If so what message do you believe unfurling he Israeli flag conveys?

OAR would support any Wednesday-ites who have suffered discrimination in any form. Next question Would your mate support a Wednesday fan of Palestinian descent flying the Palestinian flag alongside the Israeli flag in solidarity with the oppression of the Palestinian people?

I am just being very mindful that flags send messages. And some replies have pointed out they can be divisive. I have no objections to the Israeli flag per se, but I do have objections to the oppression served up by the Israeli government who would use that flag as their symbol.

Possibly. But, the Palestinian government aren't subjugating a whole other group of people under their control to live in intolerable inhumane conditions.

Which to me seems strange: Criticising a government equates with being 'anti' a whole section of people. So, if you criticise the US government you are automatically 'anti' all Americans? Bit much?

This has been some journey. As a nation, we were united in a belief that we can achieve something special after the hardest of years. It wasn't meant to be, but this team is just getting started. They will continue to make you proud, both on and off the pitch.
