🇪🇸 #VoltaCatalunya104 Matthew Brennan will not start the 6th stage of the Volta a Catalunya. As a replacement for Jonas Vingegaard, the team has decided to give the 19-year-old rider some extra rest. With two victories, it has been a fantastic week for Matthew.

⚠️ RACE UPDATE Stage 6 has been modified once more and will no longer finish on the climb of Queralt. The stage will now finish back in Berga 🏁

The wind in Catalunya today is incredibly strong. The stage in the mountains will not be as planned with a new finish in Berga where the start is and circa 2 x 60km loops. No major climbs and a slight uphill finish.

I am with the TV crew in Volta a Catalunya . They couldn’t stand at the top of the final climb. Gusts were incredibly strong. Have to admire organisers and crew on days like this for moving entire set ups to new locations in a matter of hours.

Anyone still wondering about Wout van Aert ? Doubt it. A stunning stage win and after his team work today. He is class.

I remember interviewing Simon Yates at the end of the Giro d'Italia on stage when he lost the Maglia Rosa. He was completely gutted. But he said at some point he would come back… today he’s throwing all of that loss into this stage.
