Hello world! Weāre Polaron, an Imperial College London spin-out planning to revolutionise the characterisation and design of advanced materials. Our easy-to-use, no-code platform is putting the power of generative AI and high throughput simulation into the hands of engineers.

Two of my brilliant PhD students (Isaac Squires and Steve Kench) have just spun-out of Imperial College London! Polaron will bring our group's materials characterisation and design tools to market Exciting times for generative AI! tldr group & Faraday Institution polaron.ai

I wrote a different kind of post (a little story) about European Synchrotron and Greece but it's a bit too long to post it here. Link for the LinkedIn post: linkedin.com/feed/update/urā¦

It was a real pleasure teaching about chemical imaging and tomography during this year's Finden Ltd course to this smart group of people. Many thanks to my colleagues Vaggelis Papoutsellis and Hongyang Dong for their hard work. Hope the participants enjoyed it as much as we did! #xrdct

Back at the European Synchrotron for academic research with Imperial College London Dyson School of Design Engineering PhD students Sam Riley and John Morley. High quality X-ray CT and diffraction data at beamline ID11; thanks Pierre-Olivier Autran :) It was very nice to be back and see some old colleagues.

I asked #ChatGPT about #operando and what is the right way to write it according to Latin - is it "in operando" or simply "operando"? Claire Villevieille
