After working together for quite some time, I finally got to meet febo and he's every bit as great a guy IRL as he is on Github. Make sure to give him a follow if you haven't already. 🫡 youtube.com/watch?v=CAuSJv…

True manlets have shitloads of branches on an Agave fork with their own syscall customizations. There is a better way... With Mollusk 0.2, you can now register your own custom syscalls with the VM and test programs that use them. github.com/anza-xyz/mollu…

Yes, Mr Rotator, QuickNode can do that! ✅ Here's an end-to-end tutorial on using Anchor and Anza's Solana Kit, including: - Upgrading a real program from web3.js to Solana Kit - Connecting to wallets - Sending instructions to your Anchor program - Getting and decoding

The second half of the day began with a presentation from renowned computer scientist Roger Wattenhofer, who also leads research at Anza. He spoke about @Solana's new consensus protocol, Alpenglow, that is set to be implemented later this year.

agave-io-uring finally landed in agave (link below). Cleaning up accounts at startup goes from ~1 minute to 4s. Snapshot unpack is next. We're sending startup time to 0 in 2.3 📉

Here's another. v2.3 gonna make the epoch boundary significantly faster. Fewer skipped slots, validators get rewards, users land transactions.

with a few small latency fixes that hopefully will all make it in time for 2.3, here's agave replaying all current mainnet traffic on a single thread. we're going to scale so much you're going to get tired of scaling and you'll say please please no more scaling and then we'll

Agave v2.3 is almost here. Here are the most important updates so you can monitor the situation: - Faster epoch transitions - AccountsDB optimizations to reduce I/O overhead - Greedy scheduler enabled by default - RPC API updates to simulate data usage - New TPU client
