Much of this story is so familiar—kid from rural Punjab gets super in debt to study here, drives trucks, struggles. Less familiar: it turns out there's a huge audience in India eager to hear pop songs about the Canadian international student experience. thelocal.to/international-…

This was a story I'd been thinking about for a while. To dig into songs of young Punjabi Canadian musicians, understand what these playlist toppers reflect. Thrilled Nick Hune-Brown The Local Magazine (Archived Account) agreed it was a story worth telling.

Like many people, I try and avoid social media. But even I'd seen those posts about *Indian immigrants* in Canada. Often I'd scroll away. But sometimes I'd watch. But it's important to know what's being said. This piece for The Local Magazine (Archived Account) helped sort thoughts I'm still processing.

Despite calling to track/re-rate a package almost every day since Mar 22 UPS has abandoned the package I was supposed to receive. Not sure whom to call since calls always go to same call center - not in North America. So frustrating to know my package is in some facility Markham
