Happy to announce that our lab website is up and running. Our vision of controlling tissue organization and probing its mechanics is rather magnetic πŸ§²βš™οΈπŸ§«πŸ§¬! #mechanobiology πŸ‘‰ abdelfattahlab.org

Thank you Biomedical Picture of the Day BPoD for this feature! A correction though: these are CCM mutant cells (green) and not cancerous cells. There are parallels between CCM lesion and cancer mechanisms, but this is a CCM mutant cell pulling a non-mutant, β€œhealthy” cell (red). nature.com/articles/s4146…

Always an honor to represent women scientists, share my passion for interdisciplinary science, communicate my research with the public, and promote my vision (2:29) for a gender-balanced future of academia. Thanks Belgian Women in Science @SoapboxscienceB!

So frustrated with for-profit journals! Nature Portfolio Science Magazine Springer Nature we pay tons of money for publishing, and review for you for free! Yet, you won't use even a small part of your profit to support our conferences! As GRC organizer I find it outrageous! 1/3
