Profession news! I would like to thank Sebastian Tello-Trillo, Lorissa, Gary Hoover, CSMGEP, American Society of Hispanic Economists, and others that may have written letters for me. “Everything that can be counted does not necessarily count; everything that counts cannot necessarily be counted.”

Great work by my colleague Pamela Medina Quispe U of T Scarborough Management and a master class in presenting a paper on Twitter. #researchmatter U of T Scarborough Research & Innovation University of Toronto Scarborough

📢Check out🚨my new working paper with Amrita Kulka and Nicholas Chiumenti on housing affordability and understanding the role of various zoning policies in building multifamily housing!

Welcome to Day Two of #ACEA2022. The Purvis Luncheon is at 12pm with Rob Gillezeau. State of the Art Lectures with Rachel Kranton, Victor Chernozhukov, and @fabolange. This morning is the Canadian Labour Economics Forum student papers.

For those interested in behavioral research U of T Scarborough Management's @TheAvniShah & Kathleen Vohs review is a must read!

I always was intrigued by ABMs before Prof. April Franco Ph.D. (she/ella, her/ella,su) used a magic the gathering card as her final slide at her #druid22 debate critiquing their utility so I guess I have to support the motion against ABMs now.

Postings not up yet for us, but Rotman School, Economics U of T, and plenty of other great Canadian places for economists will be hiring this year.

Kid running around the #airport yelling "Dad I need your help getting cannons." Fortunately he is past #security. Could have a little to do with the multiple delays for flight. It's like Air Canada is trying to prove Zeno's paradox with several delay announcements.

Congratulations to our two AOM TIM Division Best Dissertation Award winners: Aldona Kapacinskaite (Università Bocconi) and Astrid Marinoni (Georgia Tech). Very well done! 👏

Well-deserved! Congrats to both Astrid Marinoni and Aldona Kapacinskaite!

Very proud of Yvette Huet (ella, she, her) whose brilliance is recognized by UNC Charlotte. Full disclosure I've know her forever (mi prima hermana). I'm sure she will do amazing things in her new role. inside.charlotte.edu/news-features/…

Yesterday was a great day because my NYU Stern Economics colleague Chris Conlon was promoted to tenure. Psyched for the department, school and for our students at Stern & NYU Economics Department . So happy to have Chris around!
