I just love it when I finally bump into not just one example but 2 species I have wanted to see for a long time. Green Socks Peacock AND Copper Peacock Beetle with its Blue feet! Elaphrus riparius & cupreus!!

Creating nature in an urban setting from nothing is COOL. Providing breeding habitat for frogs, damselflies, dragonflies, butterflies, goldfinches, blackbirds, robins and pigeons to name but a few is amazing. To be visited by one of these beauties feels like icing on the cake.
