📣Cool #findsfriday experimental #archaeology alert! 👨‍🎓PhD student Hamish Darrah entered the 2024 Scottish Hedgelaying Championship, using replica Late Bronze Age socketed axes. He proved that it's possible and recorded use wear and techniques required. ⚒

🎬Last Friday Time Team filmed our 2nd yrs for a piece they're making about our #Roman villa fieldschool near Loughborough. The students were filmed recording ceramics & wall plaster as well as flotation training with University of Leicester Archaeological Services. Watch this space for the final film! 🎬
