Tomorrow Saturday 1st March in Archway folks! Tickets nearly run out online but some on the door; or head to Navigator Square to grab some food & check out the action there. Dr Bike is available, for those cycling to the event, to give your two wheeled steed a free health check!

Just remembered the blog I wrote last year on why #Archway is such a great area (which you can read below). I’m so proud to represent this wonderful part of our borough at the Town Hall jamespottsblog.wordpress.com/2024/03/03/i-%…

Thank you NationalYouthTheatre for hosting a shared use OurBike cargo bike! Nag’s Head businesses + residents can now hire it for £3/hr. It carries up to 200kg and is a great way to transport small loads safely, quickly and cheaply - from tools to food, bulky buys, passengers and pets.

Really excellent Junction Ward partnership this evening with my brilliant colleagues Sheila Chapman & Janet Burgess. Updates from Islington Council officers on planning, community safety, ASB and Archway’s Creative Enterprise Zone made for a great meeting with residents

Lace up and join the Archway Tavern Run Club-every Saturday at 10am! We’ll start and finish right here at the pub, so you’ve got a great reason to cool down with a drink after. We’re also looking for a friendly runner to lead the group—if that’s you, DM us!

Thank you to those of you who engaged and spoke to us during the Community Action Day with Islington Council. We had a great day, meeting with the members of the community, listening to local concerns and providing crime prevention advice! #CommunityCrimeFighting

Many are increasingly concerned by the rise in shoplifting. While I understand the pressures many face, it can put staff & customers at risk. Am pleased to see Neighbourhood Policing Week start with a focus on this issue, & I’m glad the council is supporting this week of action.

The Mother Red Cap pub has been a valued community asset in Junction Ward for many decades. Its sudden closure last March was worrying but the recent boarding up of the pub has only made those worries worse and residents fear its permanent loss to our area. (1/2)
