It took several days to count every ballot in 2020, and it’s very likely we won’t know the outcome tonight either. So please keep a few things in mind as you make your voice heard today: – Thousands of election workers around the country are working hard today. Respect them.

Today, we honor all our veterans who have defended and fought for our democracy. They prove that we are a nation that can meet darkness with light, no matter how high the cost or how heavy the burden. May we all strive to be worthy of their sacrifices for us.

The scene outside of Delaney Hall today and the arrest of Newark Mayor Ras Baraka is an absolute outrage. He needs to be released immediately. The Trump administration's decision to reopen Delaney Hall, a private, for-profit prison to detain immigrants won’t make New Jerseyans

Newark Mayor Baraka should be released immediately. It’s absurd that he’s being held. As I’ve said before, the Trump Administration should not be using Delaney Hall, a crowded private prison, as an immigrant jail. It's an environment ripe with mistreatment and abuse.

This ruling opens the door for Trump to revoke birthright citizenship—fueling chaos, targeting immigrants, and disrupting our legal systems. We must defend the Constitution and stop his agenda of hate. nbcnews.com/politics/supre…
