Please help to share. We are looking for a new tenure track assistant professor to join our faculty Department of Chemistry - Aarhus University with focus on chemical biology and protein chemistry. Chemjobber au.dk/om/stillinger/…

It's hot here in L'Aquila and today we had a group lunch before summer break - few people missing, though, as some undergrads are preparing for exams and Alessandro Brusa is enjoying greener pastures in Filippo Romiti 's lab

Our own Maria Edith Casacchia is attending a Ph.D. Thesis Showcase CU3 event PhD in Sustainable Development and Climate Change in Brescia. Here she is, introducing her research; unfortunately we couldn't make it there and were remotely connected but, nonetheless celebrated. Thanks to Claudia Barolo for the pictures!

Carbon Dots in nano-organocatalysis via ACDC. An interesting collaboration with Giacomo Filippini from Carbon Nanotechnology Lab is now online ACS Catalysis - great work led by Alessio Carioscia and Emanuele Cocco from our group - also Maria Edith Casacchia Giuliana Giorgianni doi.org/10.1021/acscat…

.Alessio Carioscia presented our recent developments on a project that originated from his own idea at #SCI2024 - great vibes from the audience and exciting conference, thanks Società Chimica Italiana SCI Chimica Organica SCI Giovani - and thanks Aurora Cacciapuoti for the illustrations

We are organising a School in Catalysis for PhD candidates, postdocs and researchers in L'Aquila 27-31 Jan 25 Università degli Studi dell'Aquila Deadline to apply for fellowship is approaching: 15 September! .Maria Edith Casacchia and #DeboraIapadre are enjoying great lectures at Ischia Advanced School of Organic Chemistry and are off to a great start with the poster session as well presenting DSIs for a Mukayama reaction and a sweet synthesis for 7OH-CBD.

We kept it quiet but, hey, Silvi Research Group was visiting professor with us Università degli Studi dell'Aquila for the whole September. It was incredible to have you with us, Mattia. This was us dining with typical arrosticini from L'Aquila to wish farewell to Mattia.

📢An up-to-2 years PDRA👩🔬👨🔬position is available in our research group, as part of an EPSRC-funded research programme (ALKe-Syn). If you fancy functionalizing hydrocarbons using electricity🔌light💡or both – please apply here: jobs.manchester.ac.uk/Job/JobDetail?… Deadline 31Oct2024 Please RT!

Thrilled to see our first contribution out in J. Am. Chem. Soc.! Taciano Antônio dos Santos Wanderley, Roberto, Órla & Ben developed a practical, broad-scope and selective strategy for alkene 1,2-syn-difunctionalization, combining 1,3-DCs with electrochemical radical activation🪡✂️ 📜🔗:pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ja…

This week #DeboraIapadre and Alessio Carioscia attended #MYCS2024, organised by SCI Giovani and supported by Merck Life Science . Lot of fun and very interesting science; Debora's presentation was very well received and Alessio's was a blast - winning the prize for best oral!

PhD Winter school in Catalysis - gic-efcats2025.eu - has started with a great opening lecture by Walter Leitner. Coming up today Giacomo Crisenza , Paolo Melchiorre , Christoph Scheurer, ParadisiResearch and Martina_L_Contente !

An interesting review led by Alessio Carioscia and #DeboraIapadre, with #ElenaIncerto and #JonathanDiPietro - a great work laying foundations that hopefully will prove useful for the scientific community at large!

It was great having Emanuele Cocco and Maria Edith Casacchia with us - the research in our group took new directions and the fun was our daily companion in the lab.
