The women of Tigray have endured unspeakable violence then silenced by stigma, and abandoned by systems meant to protect them. Survivors deserve truth, accountability, and a future built on justice.#Tigray #PSVI ⁦⁦Human Rights at FCDO⁩ theguardian.com/global-develop…

We can’t airdrop our way out of an unfolding famine. Not in Gaza. 500,000 people are starving TODAY. The only way to get food to them, at scale, is by land. We’re grateful for the support, but we can’t afford to wait—Gaza is out of food and out of time.

In a world where Poet Alice Oswald is arrested, and peaceful campaigners against ‘human-engineered starvation and the eradication of civilians’ are branded terrorists, we have truly lost our way.

The death of Anas Al-Sharif and his colleagues is deeply shocking. 186 journalists have been killed in this conflict according to CPJ - the deadliest period since it started recording data in 1992. Gaza’s journalists are our eyes as we are not allowed in as foreign press.

This is not a natural disaster. Not drought. Not flood. This is not nature. It is a human-made, deliberately inflicted pain. – 20% of households with no food – 30% of children starving – 2 deaths per 10,000 people PER DAY Should NEVER have happened. bbc.co.uk/news/live/ckgj…

There were times when wars had rules. Starvation wasn’t used as a weapon. Hospitals and schools weren’t bombed. Aid workers and journalists weren’t targets. Civilians weren’t treated like combatants. In Gaza, all of that has collapsed. And killing? It’s been normalised.
