Final: Century Jaguars Basketball 58, Sprague Basketball 55 Islam Muzaffarov led the Jags with 18 points. Jordan Johnson hit 5 threes in posting 17 points and JB5 added 16. Avery Lohrman scored 12 points to lead the Olys. Grayson Long and Jarod Stanley added 11 points each.

Perhaps the most dominant performance we saw at the McMinnville Tournament today came from Jarod Stanley. The Sprague Basketball rising senior was flat out unstoppable, whether he drained the 3 or took guys off the bounce and finished through contact. He made some nice passes as well.

Love the way that Braxton Long attacks the basket and the creativity he has with the basketball and his passing. The rising Sprague Basketball consistently got to the hoop to make parts for himself and others and wasn’t afraid to draw contact in the process.

Adding his name to our watchlist this summer was Lane Isham. The rising Sprague Basketball soph caught our eye with his long 6-6 frame, the way he moved on the floor, his soft touch around the basket, and his shot-blocking instincts. “He’s going to be good” is a phrase we heard often.

First double-double of the season for Anthony Best in the Capitol City Classic in a Sprague Basketball victory. 15 points getting to the cup and 11 rebounds, including a number of putbacks, and also five assists as he dished out some nice interior passes.

Appropriate for the holiday season, a stocking stat-stuffing kind of game for Braxton today. 12 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 blocks, and 1 win for the point guard who caught the eyes of college coaches the past few days at the Capitol City Classic.

A total of 10 points - two threes and two twos - for Avery Lohrman today at the Capitol City Classic but where the senior is most valued isn’t necessarily defined by raw numbers. Great defense on Western Christian’s star guards and incredible maturity and leadership from the senior.
