Do you have a good practice example on airway management that you want to present at an international airway conference? Please DM the details for a slot at 'Airway Soapbox' session. Open to all but love to hear from first time speakers and SAS doctors Difficult Airway Society (DAS) #DAS2023

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: In last 2 years alone, prices ⬆️by 23.8%(RPI)/18.5%(CPI) For BMA Consultants "independent" DDRB advised pay ⬆️7.6% in same 2yrs (less with CEAs) Thats 16.1% ⬇️inflation (RPI) in *JUST TWO YEARS* to your pay (& pension) RT if you agree this CANT continue

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: if correct allegedly independent pay review body think 2%/2%/6% for 21-24 will fix junior doctor pay (see👇up to 24.1% pay cut in THREE YEARS). In other news Scotland jnrs REJECTED 3%/7.5%/6.5% (16.4% pay cut) RT if u agree DDRB rotten & want gov to be fair

#SOA23 you never fail to disappoint. It was so great to see old faces and new and of course, I went to bed early every night, didn’t drink and got plenty of sleep 😳 I might be broken but I wouldn’t have it any other way 😝

The BMA is clear that NHS consultants planning to strike should not schedule any other work, including in private practice, when they are taking part in industrial action.

So I’ve thought long and hard about this: When the ballot went out I voted to strike. I’ve been in two minds whether to go through with it, particularly with the disruption it will cause, but I’ve decided to go through with it.

There are few spaces in the world more intense than an ICU. Nitin Arora (Nitin Arora ) joins me in episode 338 of The Seen and the Unseen to discuss the evolution of intensive care, Covid -- and why he speaks more Punjabi in Birmingham than in Amritsar: seenunseen.in/episodes/2023/…

I think the #TSATU episode with Nitin Arora will go down as one of my favourites. Such a heavy topic but Dr. Nitin breaks it down so well for us laypeople. So so so many TILs here also

Important to explore behind the words. It’s ⁦UK Prime Minister⁩ that has put in writing that it refuses to discuss pay in a pay dispute. ⁦The BMA⁩ not asking for a rise, but to reverse relative losses & devaluing. Nothing set in stone. Over to ⁦Rishi Sunak

Disappointing Response to criticism should be a reply aiming to justify your point logically, rather than trying to block free speech.
