Machrie Moor, A3. After visiting here for the second time with my Dad and Jonah I did a wee series of paintings but I'd always wanted to capture it in ink and on a larger scale. It's so magically, old and serene that I can't get it out of my heid. Anyone else get that? 🪨 ⛰️

The Hermitage, A3. The Dukes of Atholl (not Hazard) have given us many things to enjoy but uppermost among them must be the Hermitage in Dunkeld. A magical place where wee and old imaginations run free. I knew had to draw it as soon as we visited. 🌳🏞✍️

Very specific commissions can often be something of an ordeal. Not this one! Doing a 'where we met' and 'where we tied the knot' for such a fantastic couple was a real pleasure. Thanks also to the friends who made this happen for Moira and Simon.

Roman Bridge, A4. This cheekily named 17th century bridge in Newton Stewart drew me in whilst I was visiting some other sites doon the road last week. Evidently not Roman but absolutely wonderful. I dragged throughserious woodland to find it and I think it was worth it.

To draw or not to draw? Whether tis nobler in the Deany to suffer the stings and punctures of outrageous undergrowth, Or to take inspiration among a sea of dense foliage, And by opposing, fall over hunners in the mud. I hope you like all of this creative horror 😅 ✍️❤️
