Another spectacular concert by the wonderful Aurora Orchestra. Their performance of Stravinsky’s Firebird was a sheer joy. Such musicianship, such energy, such bravura.

Once again Aurora Orchestra and Nicholas Collon absolutely smashing it - this time with Stravinsky's Firebird (from memory, with their unique immersive treatment). I left the Southbank Centre with a big daft grin.

About last night! A huge thanks to Alexandre Tharaud for his wonderful Ravel Piano Concerto and to Tom Service for his energetic Firebird presentation. A day off for us today before we head to Snape Maltings tomorrow, and Switzerland for the first time on Sunday. 📸 Mark Allan
